I have a javascript submit action, that submits the doc, and moves them to the main view.

I know it's probably simple, but I don't know it off hand.

I would like a JS submit that never reaches the server, to return a custom message to the web user that their connection has failed, or their was an interruption of service, etc.  Or just try again, then give the message.
