I-Phones on Lotus Traveler Need to change the SSL Option

The Problem is our mail server is not SSL enabled. And the IPhone won't let us change that ssl on/off setting, it seems locked down.

Why does Traveler eventually take up every TCPIP Port, until it causes widespread failures?
